Indie rock does need some rhythm. (I just had to google "rhythm" to figure out how to spell it.)
I tend to forget about at least one of the "h"'s.
Yeah it would be nice to see indie rock bands take an interest in rhythm, but then would they even be identifiable as indie rock? Maybe...but it sorta seems like where drums are emphasized it's only to lay down some very tired drum-machine neo new wave shit.
